    What is the selection procedure for IBPS SO Exam?

    IBPS SO Selection Stages

    1. Preliminary Exam

    3. Interview

    IBPS SO Preliminary Selection Phase 1

    The online written examination will be used to make preliminary selections for the IBPS SO recruitment.. The preliminary phase IBPS SO test pattern would fluctuate depending on the profile. The post wise selection process is discusses below.

    (a) Law Officer & Rajbhasha Adhikari

    Candidates need to score minimum cutoff marks in each section, which would be decided by IBPS.

    IBPS SO Mains Selection – Phase 2

    The second phase of selection will be based on an online written exam. The following is the IBPS SO mains exam pattern for various job profiles:

    (a) Law Officer, IT Officer, Agriculture Field Officer, HR/Personnel Officer and Marketing Officer

    IBPS SO Interview Selection – Phase 3

    • With the help of IBPS, the participating organisations of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection will conduct IBPS SO  interviews, which will be organised by nodal banks in each state or union territory.
    • Candidates who pass the IBPS SO prelims and mains examinations will be invited to the interview phase depending on their scores.
    • The interview round is worth a total of 100 marks.
    • In the IBPS SO Interviews, a minimum qualifying score of 40% is required (35 percent for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates).
    • Candidates must have an 80:20 mark ratio in order to be selected or shortlisted. The ultimate score will be determined by the candidates’ overall results in the Online Main Examination and Interview.

    IBPS SO Provisional Allotment 

    • Candidates will be provisionally assigned to one of the IBPS participating organisations based on available vacancies and the merit-cum-preference system.
    • If two or more candidates receive the same exam score, the merit will be determined based on the candidate’s date of birth (i.e. the older candidate will be ranked above the younger one).
